De Wartburg is a residential care center located on the edge of the Oog in Al neighborhood. Together with three fellow students, I designed a new communal meeting spot in the front garden.
As a group, we visited the location several times during the project and concluded that the residents had very few places for activities and social interaction. We also felt that the front garden had a lot of unused potential, so we decided to create a design that addressed both issues.
In our proposal, the garden is more richly planted, and we added a pond as a central feature. A greenhouse was then introduced as the perfect way to bring the outdoors inside, making the space accessible and enjoyable all year round.
